Although Thessaloniki is mostly famous for its nightlife and sightseeing, there are few nice beach places around the town. All beaches in Thessaloniki are easy to access from the city centre and most are organized with tourist facilities. As temperatures skyrocket, the citizens and visitors of Thessaloniki are looking for a refreshing escape without having to leave the capital.
Here there are the must-visit beaches!!

Agia Triada Beach

Agia Triada is a long, organized beach, with crystal-clear waters, located approximately 22km from the centre of Thessaloniki. Its easy access -you can take the bus Nr.72 from the city centre and reach Agia Triada in 30 minutes! - makes it an ideal destination for Thessalonians that love to swim!  If you are into nightlife, Agia Triada has taverns and restaurants that come alive at night. If you are into history, the area has plenty of historical sites to see including a Mycenaean Shrine and the Light Well. Wear your bikinis and head to the beach!

Perea & Epanomi Beaches

Perea Beach is located in the small town of Perea approximately 17km south of Thessaloniki , next to Agia Triada beach. You can get to Perea via bus, which makes stops along the 7.5km beach allowing you to get as close to your desired spot as possible. If you’re interested in being on the water instead of the sand, there is a ferry that runs from two points in Thessaloniki (one at the pier on the point and the other near the White Tower) to Perea Beach. If you are not a great explorer, then the nearby and organized beach of Potamos will make your trip worth it. Enjoy your swim, test your limits at some of the most exhilarating water sports or simply relax and socialize with a cocktail at one of the beach bars.

Halkidiki

Halkidiki represents an amazing coastline of 550km, featuring a thousand different beaches. There are pure golden sandy ones, to enjoy their stunning landscape and others rocky enough, to explore their wild beauty. Each coast has an exotic view as well as emerald, crystal clear waters, deserving all those Blue Flags have been awarded with. Easy enough to find your ideal place in Halkidiki; choose either a kind of crowded spot to feel the Greek beachy vibes or a quiet place to enjoy its tranquility. Visit Halkidiki to find out the reasons why that’s a magical place, closer than you think!
