Gyros is a dish consisting of pieces of pork. It can be made from minced meat-kebab- or chicken meat. Often offered in a pita wrap but also as a serving dish. Served with variety of salads -tzatziki- tomato, onion and French fries or you can choose the ingredients that you want.
Souvlaki is the most typical Greek dish, baked pieces of pork or chicken and sometimes vegetables grilled on a skewer. It is usually eaten straight off the skewer while still hot and it can be served with in a pita wrap or with pita bread, fried potatoes, lemon and sauces, but the souvlaki itself is eaten on its own, with the side dishes eaten subsequently. Souvlaki is famous all over the world mainly served in special souvlaki shops.
It is also the type of fast food that can be found in outdoor festive events the most.
